Position Summary

The Manager, HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a trusted Business Advisor to the organization on HR-related programs and priorities.  The Manager, HRBP assesses and anticipates HR-related needs and proactively communicates solutions.  The Manager, HRBP collaborates to build trusted relationships to that deliver value and reflects reflect Athletico’s mission, vision and values.  The Manager, HR Business Partner acts as a liaison between various HR functions and across to organization on priorities such as: Onboarding, Offboarding, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Compensation, Talent Assessments, Succession Planning, and Engagement/Retention. The Manager, HR Business Partner will act as a point person for our Leadership, helping them grow and coach our employees through Talent Development and Learning programs.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as an advisor in almost every facet of the Employee Life Cycle, from Onboarding to Career
  • Development to Culture/Engagement, Training, and Offboarding
  • Assures company complies with all federal, state and local laws governing employment
  • Drive, influence, advise and support the cultural and people aspects of organizational change
  • Anticipate changing trends in both talent supply and demand; Accountable for analyzing results including workforce analysis and forecasting future needs
  • Manage legal compliance in a multi-state environment with the ability to interpret and explain law to management; Keep abreast of legislation affecting human resources and business operations
  • Designs, revises, distributes, interprets, and applies policies and procedures
  • Provide managers coaching and training with regard to Employee Relations issues
  • Partner with executive-level staff throughout the organization to gather input/perspective on HR decisions which in turn will help ensure the delivery of high-quality HR processes
  • Evaluates potential issues or service needs and formulates strategic responses
  • Demonstrates employee advocacy and develops a reputation as a neutral and approachable HR professional
  • Provides value-added services to including strategic management, leadership development, and project management. 
  • Serves as the point person for their portion of the Organization as it relates to Performance Management, Compensation Planning, Compensation Administration, Engagement Action Planning, Talent Assessments, and Succession Planning
  • Work with Resource Center Benefits Team on employee leave administration
  • Monitor compensation levels and advise management/HR of expected trends and market conditions
  • Ensure the quality and direction of human resources services, and with advice that is properly
  • aligned to company’s strategy and objectives
  • Ensure department efficiency by identifying areas of process improvement
  • Work with risk management on matters involving employee safety and workers compensation
  • Develop, implement and participate in employee engagement surveys and recognitions programs
  • Ability to lead special projects as it relates to our people

Qualifications

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar course of study from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 7-10 Years of progressive HR experience required and prior supervisory or management experience
  • Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines includes employee relations, performance and change management, compensation and benefits

  • Committed to growing the HR brand both inside and outside of Athletico
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Must possess leadership qualities with exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal and customer skills
  • Healthcare Industry Experience a plus

Language Skills

  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently

Physical Demands:

  • Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
  • Possess the ability to fulfill any office activities normally expected in an office setting, to include, but not limited to: remaining seated for periods of time to perform computer based work, participating in filing activity, lifting and carrying office supplies (paper reams, mail, etc.)
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel, and reach with hand and arms
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds
  • Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding)
